Joseph Yates' unique journey from a humble background to becoming a skilled attorney is what shapes his empathetic approach to law. Growing up in Sacramento, California, Joseph had limited resources, which instilled in him the value of hard work and negotiation. From a young age, he learned the plumbing trade from his grandfather, and by 17, he was working as a plumber and electrician. In 1992, Joseph founded his own construction business, and around the same time, his passion shifted to include the law.
Mastering the Legal Process
Starting in litigation support, Joseph quickly learned the complexities of the legal process. His determination led him to law school, where he took an unconventional route—challenging college to fast-track his legal education. Joseph then clerked for Roger Dreyer, one of California’s top trial lawyers, then in 2001 became an associate then partner, expanding his practice to Nevada in 2021.
